Handcrafted with Love, Inspired by women

Our founder, Constanza Safatle, was a commercial lawyer in Chile, but after moving to Newfoundland and Labrador, she had to redefine her path as an immigrant in Canada. So she decided to start her own business sewing baby accesories.

Seeing the impact of the products she made for her children, she realized the potential to create something bigger—a tool for positive change.

A Mother’s Vision, A Community’s Heart

In 2017, Constanza founded Newbornlander, not just as a brand, but as a movement. Inspired by her commitment to social justice, community, and empowerment, Newbornlander has become a disruptor in the textile business, providing opportunity and mentorship to immigrant and refugee women.

It’s not just about products—it’s about creating lasting social impact, advocating for equality, and building a future where all women have the chance to thrive.
